This series is an artistic-archaeological investigation of contemporary urban space and life, condensed into collaged etchings and ceramic objects.

 

Core interests of my investigation are the formal manifestations of a
civilisation‘s political, spiritual/religious and artistic mentality and history, its language, its historical development of migration and influences of or interconnection with other (neighbouring) cultures,
in the structures and aesthetics of its cities and everyday culture.
 

My goal is to build a comprehensive, poetic, and personal archive of impressions from different cities and cultures for archaeologists of the future.

The results of the preliminary research form the basis for the intuitive artistic process of collecting on-site.
